Powell Tuck Associates is an award-winning practice of expert architects and designers based in West London since 2002 in a bespoke mixed-use development designed and built by us.

Our work encompasses architecture and interiors to new and existing buildings in both urban and rural contexts creating bespoke solutions for our clients. London projects form the backbone of our portfolio, along with a growing diverse list around the country, including active projects in Wiltshire, Yorkshire and Durham.

We design with a passion for detail, to create elegant spaces tempered by the use of honest materials and a touch of the unexpected to provide our projects with a sense of crafted quality.

We understand in tandem with high creativity; our clients need a managed process in combination with high quality design. We believe fervently in a process of inclusive conversation to generate a shared team purpose enabling all our projects to meet the high standard of end product which fundamental defines our practices work. 

Background

The practice was founded in 1990 by Julian Powell Tuck, who in 2010 handed the reins to current Directors Adrian Lees and Angus Shepherd both who had worked with Julian since the practices founding.

The strength of this long association, this collective experience gained and evolved through many and varied projects gives the practice a core passion for challenging design with a strong conviction for solutions of high creativity, whilst functional and a strong quality in the built instigation.

The value and benefit generated through such extensive and collaborative working relationship continues with the practice’s senior associates Steve Appleby and Hugh Mackay, and new associates Asia Grzybowska and Mark Taylor.
